I would be very surprised if your T150V was built in March 1975, the last T150V GH prefix left the NVT works at Small Heath on the 6th of December 1974, the last NK prefix on the 2nd of December 1974 and the last PK prefix on the 19th of November 1974, T160 engine production was started in November 1974 and the first production one being finished and ready for shipping was T160 XK00257 on the 7th of December 1974.
I hope the above helps as it was taken from the original factory build records,

There must be a discrepency in the records, as according to the VMCC who have custody of all the records relating to British M/C manufactures prior to 1979, that where previoulsy held at the Science Museum in London, my machine NJ41237 was built on 13/3/75 and as stated registered on 2/7/75 registration number KLH 97N.
Perusal of UK rego records confirms this. It was delivered in 'US' Spec with black tank with Sundance Yellow 'flash'.
As a point of interest as to differences 'late T150's' mine has a larger battery holder then my other 150

The information the VMCC have given you is totally wrong, they only have copies of the factory records on poorly copied microfiche that came from the Science Museum, I know this as they contact me on occasions in my capacity as Machine Registrar and Archivist for the Trident and Rocket Three Owners Club to verify information on Triumph and BSA three cylinder machines for them, I have in my possession the original hand written build and dispatch records for all T150Vs of which is the only copy, I can tell you categorically that your T150V was built at The Triumph Works Meriden England on the 2nd of October 1973, it was built as a 1974 model export specification bike, it was left unfinished at Meriden because of the Sit In, and sat there throughout the workers blockade of the factory until it was dispatched to the NVT Works Small Heath Birmingham England on the 1st of October 1974 when the build was completed, on the 2nd of October 1974 it was dispatched with quite a few other Meriden built T150Vs to the Triumph Corporation Baltimore Maryland USA, the bikes didn't sell in the USA because of the impending release of the new model T160 Trident and was returned to Small Heath with quite a few other Export T150Vs in March 1975, it was then sold off with others to Slocombes of Neasden, North London England at a discounted price to get rid of them as T160 production was in full swing by then and the last thing NVT needed was outdated models taking up the room at dispatch without being sold, this is all the information the TR3OC hold in their archive on your 1973/74 model T150V.

Bye the way re the front guard discussion, mine has the T140 front guard, T160 kickstarter, T160 gearbox cap and as mentioned before a larger battery box. as i remember there were plenty of unsold T150s in UK dealers (or stored at small heath?) through 1975 & into 76, and dealers were doing special discount deals to shift old stock. So its not uncommon to find late '75 or '76 registered T150s. Its first registration date with the N or P reg letter 'on the road' in 75/76 doesn't mean it was manufactured in 75 Great read guys.
So how many t150vs were produced? I don't know offhand, I would have to do a count, and when I have some spare time I might just do that.
